The beginning of the experiment.

I now have a plan for my experiment... but to begin I must tell you about my theory. It is still just a theory as I have yet to do the experiment and prove anything yet. I suffer from a head full of theories and no lab to prove them in. This is where the empty part of my garage comes in... I am hoping to create a bit of a lab down there.

The Theory - That Red Dye 40, when consumed as a regular part of the diet causes behavioral changes leading to an increase in aggression, decrease in attention span and changes in intelligence. It may also cause hereditary issues after multiple generations of regular consumption.

The Plan - Find somewhere to do the experiment - find someone willing to buy me mice, cages, mouse wheels, build a labyrinth, video cameras to watch mice, and a microscope for dissection after they pass away (which they do on their own, I'm not killing anything on purpose).

Things to figure out - is there some sort of law about experimenting with mice... also how long to lab mice live and how hard are they to breed? I need several generations - is this a skill I should perfect before beginning my experiment.
